. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A six-run explosion in the fourth inning carried the White Sox to a 9-5 decision over the Royals. The first two runs of the big frame came on a homer by Wayne Nordhagen after a walk to Greg Luzinski. Chet Lemon followed with a triple and scored on a single by Jim Morrison, who raced to third on a single by Bill Almon. After Juan Berenguer replaced Paul Splittorff on the hill for K.C., Ron LeFlore cracked a two-run triple and subsequently scored on a wild pitch. [The Sporting News]
