. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Rick Reuschel, surrendering just one hit over six innings before leaving because of stiffness in his arm, received credit for his first victory of the season as the Cubs defeated the Braves, 7-3. The Cubs took a 3-0 lead in the first inning on a run-scoring single by Bill Buckner and two-run homer by Steve Henderson, and upped the margin to 7-0 in the seventh on a run-scoring single by Reuschel, RBI double by Ivan DeJesus, sacrifice fly by Scot Thompson and run-scoring double by Buckner.
