An errant throw from the outfield accounted for the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as the Reds shaded the Cubs, 2-1. Ray Knight drew a one-out walk in the Reds' ninth. Ron Oester then extended his hitting streak to 14 games with a single and, when right fielder Leon Durham's throw rolled into the Chicago dugout, Knight scored. [The Sporting News]
