Jumping off to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings, the White Sox prevailed over the Indians, 7-4. The Sox scored twice in the opening frame when Ron LeFlore led off with a walk and came home on a triple by Tony Bernazard, who tallied on a single by Carlton Fisk. A Cleveland error helped the Sox to three more markers in the second stanza as LeFlore and Fisk stroked run-scoring singles. [The Sporting News]
