Ken Singleton cracked a homer and two singles and drove in four runs to pace a 19-hit attack that carried the Orioles to a 9-4 decision over the Twins. Singleton clouted a two-run round-tripper in the first inning following an RBI single by Rich Dauer and singled home two tallies in the eighth after the Twins had closed to within 5-4 on a two-run circuit clut by Gary Ward in the sixth. Baltimore's final two markers came in the ninth chukker on an error by Twins shortstop Roy Smalley and run-scoring single by John Lowenstein.
