Jim Palmer, although needing relief help from Tim Stoddard, was the winning pitcher as the Orioles downed the Twins, 6-3, with Rich Dauer and Eddie Murray each collecting three hits. Murray doubled home Dauer in the first inning and Dan Graham knocked in two runs with a single in the third to give the Orioles a 3-0 lead.
