Otto Velez and John Mayberry blasted solo homers and drove in two runs apiece to pace the Blue Jays to a 9-5 triumph over the White Sox. Velez broke a 3-3 tie in the second inning with a run-scoring triple and belted his circuit clout in the sixth. Mayberry stroked an RBI single in the fourth to give Toronto a 5-3 lead and added a homer in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
