The streaking Orioles posted their seventh straight victory, beating the Angels, 5-3. The Birds scored three runs in the second inning on a run-scoring double by Gary Roenicke, RBI single by Rick Dempsey and RBI double by Mark Belanger.

Ken Singleton drilled a run-scoring two-bagger in the fifth and Roenicke delivered a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Dennis Martinez, going seven innings, picked up his fifth consecutive win. [The Sporting News]
