Carlton Fisk went 4-for-5 and drove home the tie-breaking run in the eighth inning as the White Sox shaded the Blue Jays, 6-5. The Jays had battled back from a 5-1 deficit to deadlock the game in the seventh on a two-run homer by Damaso Garcia. Ron LeFlore began the Sox eighth by reaching first on an error by shortstop Alfredo Griffin. He then stole second and raced home on a single by Fisk. [The Sporting News]
