Combining on a five-hitter, Brian Allard and Shane Rawley pitched the Mariners to a 3-1 triumph over the Indians, handing Len Barker the loss in his first start since hurling a perfect game. Seattle broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth when Gary Gray singled, stole second and scored on a double by Tom Paciorek, and added an insurance run in the ninth on a homer by Jeff Burroughs, the first round-tripper off the Tribe's pitching in 124 innings.
