A four-run uprising in the eighth inning enabled the A's to end their eight-game losing streak with a 6-2 decision over the Blue Jays. The score was 2-2 when Rickey Henderson began the winning surge with a single, stole second and scored on a single by Dwayne Murphy. A walk and a hit batsman then loaded the bases and Tony Armas drove in two runs with a single. Mitchell Page capped the outburst with a run-scoring single.
