Feasting on California pitching for the third straight day, the White Sox routed the Angels, 10-2. Chicago collected 34 runs and 45 hits in sweeping the three-game set. The Sox scored five runs in the second inning. Chet Lemon singled home the first run and with the bases loaded a single by Ron LeFlore skipped by left fielder Brian Downing for a three-base error.
