A five-run rally in the seventh inning lifted the Royals to a 6-4 victory over the Twins. Trailing 4-1 in the seventh, K.C. loaded the bases on singles by John Wathan and Frank White and a walk to Cesar Geronimo. Jack O'Connor took over the mound chores for the Twins and was greeted by a run-scoring single by pinch-hitter Lee May.

After a forceout at the plate, Hal McRae singled -- one run scored and pinch-runner Dave Chalk was thrown out at the plate. A walk to George Brett loaded the bases and a single by Willie Aikens plated two more tallies. Amos Otis capped the outburst with an RBI pinch-single. [The Sporting News]
