Chris Speier, who had only one homer all of last season, belted his second round-tripper this season and batted in three runs in the Expos' 5-3 victory over the Cardinals. Speier singled home Montreal's first run in the second inning after Jerry White drilled a two-out double and he cracked his circuit clout in the fourth following a single by White. Bill Gullickson went 8 1/3 innings to pick up the victory and Bill Lee saved the game by getting the final two outs with the bases loaded. [The Sporting News]
