Barry Bonnell ripped a homer, two doubles and a single, driving in four runs and pacing the Blue Jays to an 8-4 triumph over the Angels that ended Toronto's six-game losing streak. After doubling in the Jays' first run in the first inning, Bonnell drilled his homer in the third with Ernie Whitt and Alfredo Griffin aboard via singles. Otto Velez belted a two-run round-tripper in the fifth and Ken Macha stroked a two-run single in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
