The Expos completed the three-game sweep by downing the Cardinals, 4-1. The game was tied, 1-1, when Tim Wallach began the Montreal seventh with a single and moved to third on a sacrifice by Larry Parrish. After Jerry White walked, Chris Speier's single plated Wallach. Pinch-hitter Bob Pate then walked before Tim Raines drove White home with a sacrifice fly. Montreal added a run in the ninth on a run-scoring double by Parrish. [The Sporting News]
