A pair of doubles by Rich Dauer and homer by Doug DeCinces helped power the Orioles to a 6-5 decision over the Tigers. Dauer doubled home Al Bumbry for the Birds' first run in the opening inning and scored later in the frame on a wild pitch. The Orioles picked up two runs in the fourth on singles by Mark Belanger and Bumbry and two-run two-bagger by Dauer. DeCinces belted a solo homer in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
