Blasting six Atlanta pitchers -- including reserve infielder Luis Gomez -- for 18 hits, the Padres breezed to an 11-1 victory over the Braves. The Padres took a 3-0 lead in the first when Gene Richards and Terry Kennedy singled in runs and left fielder Rufino Linares' error allowed another to score. Steve Mura delivered a two-run single in the fourth and the Padres got three in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Broderick Perkins, RBI double by Joe Lefebvre and infield single by Luis Salazar.
