Dwight Evans drove in two runs with a double and homer and Dennis Eckersley tossed a four-hitter to pace the Red Sox to a 4-0 blanking of the Indians. Evans doubled home the first Sox run in the sixth frame and blasted a solo homer in the eighth. The Sox wrapped up the game in the ninth on a run-scoring double by Dave Stapleton and an RBI grounder by Glenn Hoffman. [The Sporting News]
