A three-run pinch-hit homer by Mike Tyson keyed a six-run fourth inning off Fernando Valenzuela as the Cubs thumped the Dodgers, 11-5. The Cubs trailed, 4-1, when Jerry Morales led off the bottom of the fourth frame with a triple. Hector Cruz drew a walk and a single by Carlos Lezcano scored Morales.

A single by Jody Davis plated Cruz, and Tyson, batting for Lynn McGlothen, drilled the first pitch over the left field wall. After Ivan DeJesus walked, Bobby Castillo replaced Valenzuela and yielded a run-scoring double to Bill Buckner. [The Sporting News]
