A two-run double by Dane Iorg keyed a three-run third inning as the Cardinals flew to a 6-1 triumph over the Dodgers. The Redbirds jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first frame on a two-out RBI double by George Hendrick, and loaded the bases with one out in the third on a single by Garry Templeton and walks to Keith Hernandez and Hendrick.

Iorg then doubled home Templeton and Hernandez, and the third run of the inning came in on an infield single by Sixto Lezcano. Hernandez delivered a sacrifice fly in the fifth and Bruce Sutter got an RBI groundout in the eighth following a triple by Lezcano. [The Sporting News]
