Leon Roberts, Bubbdy Bell and Jim Sundberg each homered and combined for 10 RBIs to power the Rangers to a 12-5 pounding of the Brewers. The Rangers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a single by Pat Putnam, run-scoring double by Billy Sample and RBI single by Roberts.

Bell delivered a two-run single in the third and Roberts drilled a leadoff homer in the fourth. A three-run homer by Bell climaxed a five-run sixth and Sundberg smashed a two-run circuit clout in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
