Cincinnati ace Tom Seaver was shelled from the parapet in the fourth inning as the Dodgers rallied for three runs en route to an 8-5 triumph over the Reds. L.A. trailed, 4-3, in the fourth, but tied the game on a pinch-double by Jay Johnstone and RBI single by Davey Lopes.

Lopes took third on an error by Sam Mejias and scored on a single by Ken Landreaux. After Dusty Baker singled Landreaux to third, Paul Moskau replaced Seaver and Ron Cey scored Landreaux with a sacrifice fly. Lopes provided insurance with a two-run homer in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
