Rick Manning drove in three runs with a two-run homer and a single to pace the Indians to a 9-4 decision over the Brewers. The Tribe took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Andre Thornton and RBI single by Alan Bannister.

Manning delivered his circuit clout in the seventh. Len Barker allowed seven hits before tiring in the ninth but received credit for his sixth win of the season. [The Sporting News]
