Cecil Cooper banged out four hits to pace a 15-hit attack that carried the Brewers to an 8-5 victory over the Indians. Roy Howell and Cooper lashed solo homers in the first inning and Cooper doubled and scored on a single by Ben Oglivie in the third. Run-scoring singles by Thad Bosley and Oglivie highlighted a three-run fourth. Cooper finished the five-game series with 13 hits in 23 at-bats, good for 26 total bases. [The Sporting News]
