. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A two-run double by Steve Garvey keyed a three-run seventh inning that enabled the Dodgers to edge the Braves, 6-5. The Dodgers trailed, 5-3, in the sixth stanza when pinch-hitter Rick Monday and Ken Landreaux drew walks and both scored on Garvey's two-bagger.

After Gene Garber replaced Steve Bedrosian on the hill for Atlanta, Ron Cey singled up the middle to plate Garvey. Tom Niedenfuer, who relieved Fernando Valenzuela, picked up his first major league win. [The Sporting News]
