Driving in two runs with a single and homer, Greg Luzinski sparked the White Sox to a 4-1 triumph over the Yankees. Ron LeFlore opened the game with a single and reached second when Willie Randolph dropped Mike Squires' pop fly.

After Carlton Fisk bounced into a double play, Luzinski delivered LeFlore with a single. A sacrifice fly by Fisk produced a third-inning tally and Luzinski clouted his round-tripper in the sixth. A sacrifice fly by Bill Almon closed the scoring in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
