Dave Kingman rapped two homers and doubled, driving in three runs, and Ed Lynch and Neil Allen combined on a six-hitter in the Mets' 4-0 whitewashing of the Braves. The Mets took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI double by Kingman and registered another run in the second on a balk. Kingman also delivered solo homers in the sixth and eighth.
