. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Blue Jays beat the Royals for the first time in four meetings this season, winning 5-3 as Barry Bonnell knocked in three runs. A run-scoring single by Bonnell broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth inning, a single by Damaso Garcia plated a sixth-inning run and Bonnell produced the final two runs in the eighth with a bases-loaded single. Roy Lee Jackson pitched 1 1/3 innings of hitless relief to save the game for the Jays. [The Sporting News]
