Going 8 1/3 innings, Jim Palmer snapped a personal three-game losing skein as the Orioles prevailed over the A's, 4-2. The Birds tallied twice in the first frame on a wild pitch and an RBI single by John Lowenstein. Lowenstein also doubled home Baltimore's final run in a two-run third inning. [The Sporting News]
