. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Dan Ford crashed a homer, double and two singles to drive in five runs and Rod Carew collected five hits to lead the Angels to a 12-2 shelling of the Indians. Ken Forsch, going the route, became the first A.L. pitcher to win 10 games this season.

Ford's round-tripper was a two-run shot in the eighth inning. The Angels got three runs in the second stanza when Carew stroked an RBI single and Rick Burleson delivered a two-run single. [The Sporting News]
