Homers by Paul Molitor, Ted Simmons and Robin Yount helped power the Brewers to an 8-5 decsion over the Twins. Molitor connected with the bases empty in the first inning, Simmons drilled a three-run shot to highlight a four-run fifth frame and Yount delivered a solo swat in the eighth.

The Brewers went ahead to stay in the third inning when Cecil Cooper singled, took second on a walk and scored on a single by Gorman Thomas. Rollie Fingers notched his 17th save. [The Sporting News]
