Bruce Benedict's first career grand slam capped a six-run first inning to send the Braves on their way to a 12-2 thrashing of the Phillies. After the Braves loaded the bases in the opening frame, Chris Chambliss doubled home two runs. Glenn Hubbard walked to reload the sacks and Benedict hit his round-tripper.
