Homers by Mike Schmidt, Keith Moreland and Luis Aguayo helped power the Phillies to an 11-8 victory over the Braves. Atlanta led, 4-2, going into the fifth inning on the strength of a grand slam homer by Glenn Hubbard in the first frame.

But the Phillies went ahead in the fifth on a three-run homer by Schmidt and a solo blast by Moreland. The Phils increased their margin to 9-4 in the sixth on a homer by Aguayo, sacrifice fly by Bake McBride and RBI single by Moreland. [The Sporting News]
