Montreal trailed, 3-1, when Chris Speier opened the seventh with a single, went to third on a pinch-single by Tim Wallach and scored when Reds third baseman Ray Knight erred on a grounder by Tim Raines, who reached first safely.

After a sacrifice bunt by Rodney Scott, Andre Dawson was intentionally walked to load the bases. A sacrifice fly by Gary Carter chased Wallach home and a single by Warren Cromartie plated Raines with the game-winning run. [The Sporting News]
