. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Six-hit pitching by Rick Honeycutt carried the Rangers to a 4-1 victory over the Blue Jays, ending Texas' three-game losing skein. The Rangers scored in the first inning when Mickey Rivers was safe at first on a throwing error by Jays shortstop Alfredo Griffin, stole second and came in on Al Olver's single. Billy Sample delivered an RBI single in the third inning and a two-run double in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
