Greg Harris triggered a two-run sixth inning with a double and yielded just four hits in seven innings to lead the Mets to a 4-1 triumph over the Braves. The Mets trailed, 1-0, when Harris began the bottom of the sixth with his two-bagger, reached third on a single by Mookie Wilson and continued home on an errant throw by Atlanta center fielder Dale Murphy.

Wilson took third on the play and tallied on a sacrifice fly by Lee Mazzilli. The Mets added two runs in the seventh on a homer by Ellis Valentine and an RBI pinch-single by Rusty Staub. [The Sporting News]
