. . . where the 1970s live forever!

After completing the previous night's suspended contest against the Red Sox, the Mariners won the regularly-scheduled game, 5-2. Seattle jumped to a 4-0 lead in the second inning on a walk to Gary Gray, a sacrifice, single by Bud Bulling, run-scoring single by Paul Serna in his first major league at-bat and a three-run homer by Julio Cruz. Bob Stoddard, who became the first Mariners farm product to pitch for the parent club, received credit for the victory. [The Sporting News]
