Hubie Brooks went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs to lead the Mets to a 5-3 triumph over the Pirates. The Mets overcame a 3-2 deficit in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Brooks and sacrifice fly by Rusty Staub, and added an insurance tally in the seventh on a run-scoring single by Brooks.
