Andre Dawson and Larry Parrish drove in three runs apiece to pace the Expos to a 10-6 victory over the Cubs. Dawson cracked an RBI double and scored on a single by Warren Cromartie in the first inning, and a leadoff homer by Tim Wallach in the second gave the Expos a 3-0 lead.

Dawson and Parrish each stroked run-scoring singles in the fifth frame and the Expos put the contest out of reach with a five-run sixth. An RBI single by Rodney Scott, run-scoring double by Dawson, two-run double by Parrish and a wild pitch accounted for the five tallies.
