A three-run explosion in the 10th inning enabled the Padres to down the Braves, 6-4. The score was 3-3 when Randy Bass began the 10th with a pinch-double and was replaced by pinch-runner Mario Ramirez. Ozzie Smith then laid down a sacrifice bunt and reached first safely with Ramirez taking third when the throw to third was late. A single by Juan Bonilla plated Ramirez and, one out later, Luis Salazar tripled home two more runs. [The Sporting News]
