Luis Tiant pitched a four-hitter and climaxed a five-run sixth inning with a three-run double to lead the Pirates in an 8-2 victory over the Cubs. The Bucs tallied in the opening inning on a leadoff homer by Omar Moreno and moved to a 2-0 lead in the second on a solo homer by Dave Parker. The Bucs counted five in the sixth on RBI singles by Parker and Tony Pena and Tiant's two-bagger that was preceded by an intentional base on balls. [The Sporting News]
