Driving in two runs with a homer and double, Gorman Thomas paced the Brewers to a 3-2 triumph over the Yankees. Thomas belted a solo round-tripper in the second inning and drove in the second tally of a two-run sixth. Paul Molitor singled in the sixth, stole second, took third on an infield out and came in on a single by Cooper. Thomas then followed with a two-bagger.
