Pete Vuckovich, getting brilliant relief help from Jamie Easterly, who pitched two-hit shutout ball over the final four innings, received credit for his 13th victory as the Brewers moved into first place in the A.L. East with a 5-1 triumph over the Orioles. The Brewers scored twice in the first inning on an RBI single by Ted Simmons and a run-scoring double by Gorman Thomas.
