Ernie Whitt and John Mayberry led the attack as the Blue Jays downed the hapless Angels, 6-4. Whitt broke a 3-3 tie with a two-out, two-run double in the fifth inning and Mayberry, who had slammed a two-run homer in the first, delivered a run-scoring single in the seventh.
