. . . where the 1970s live forever!
The A's swept a twin bill from the Blue Jays, winning the opener, 3-2 in 13 innings, and capturing the nightcap, 4-2. The opener was tied, 2-2, when Rickey Henderson drew a two-out walk in the top of the 13th and stole second. After Dwayne Murphy was walked intentionally, Keith Drumright's single scored Henderson.

The A's took a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning of the second game on a homer by Jim Spencer. Wayne Gross delivered a sacrifice fly in the sixth and a two-run double in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
