A three-run homer by Chet Lemon climaxed a four-run eighth inning that lifted the White Sox to a 6-2 triumph over the A's. Tony Bernazard stroked a one-out single in the Sox eighth and advanced to second on a groundout by Harold Baines. Greg Luzinski then singled home Bernazard and, after Carlton Fisk singled, Lemon connected for the circuit. [The Sporting News]
