. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Rich Gedman had three hits, including a fifth-inning double that drove in the winning run, to pace the Red Sox to a 5-4 triumph over the Indians. The score was tied, 4-4 in the fifth, when Carney Lansford smacked a one-out two-bagger and tallied on Gedman's two-out double. Carl Yastrzemski belted a two-run homer in the first frame and Bob Stanley pitched one-hit shutout ball over the final 5 1/3 innings to earn the victory. [The Sporting News]
