Dave Stieb and Joey McLaughlin combined on a four-hitter and John Mayberry clouted a two-run homer as the Blue Jays shaded the Angels, 4-3. Toronto was behind, 3-2 in the eighth inning, when Garth Iorg stroked a one-out single and Mayberry followed with his round-tripper that enabled the Jays to end their five-game losing streak.
