. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Sammy Stewart pitched 8 1/3 innings of shutout relief, enabling the Orioles to post a 7-3 come-from-behind triumph over the Tigers. After Detroit kayoed Baltimore starter Jim Palmer with a three-run first inning, the Birds went ahead in the third on a two-run double by Eddie Murray and two-run homer by Benny Ayala. Murray iced the contest with a two-run homer in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
